In 2023 the Australian Telehealth Guidelines were updated to require that all online prescriptions require a real-time consultation with a doctor. To ensure we are meeting this criteria, as well as reducing the burden on our patients, we have opted for a system which allows for your medication to be approved with repeats that can be used through our service. These repeats are stored within your account and cannot be issued as a paper script, eScript, or emailed to you or another pharmacy.
When you complete a consultation with one of our doctors, they will be able to approve your medication for a certain period of time, up to 12 months. The timeframe may vary depending on what is clinically appropriate, however, you can discuss this with the doctor during the call. You can view the duration of your approval within your account.
If you have an existing approval, you will be able to order repeats of your medication and will not require another consultation during the approval timeframe. These orders will still require you to update your health information, and they will be clinically reviewed prior to dispatch, however, a call is not required to do this. Typically, repeat orders will be processed within 24 hours Monday-Friday.
